Lego Teams Compete in Old Lyme

'Nidz Kids' and 'The BFFs' (our two Lego Robotics teams) competed well at the 'Bash at the Beach' in Old Lyme on November 12th.

Neither team advanced to the state competition this year, but all members advanced their learning about 'Animal Allies'. Prior to the competition, Amy from Deep River Farms helped educate our students about the importance of bees and the pollination process. Mark Creighton, bee apiary researcher for Connecticut, spoke to our lego Robotics teams as well.

As a result, our teams were able to combine their own research with first-hand information from our presenters to share their bee knowledge at the Lego competition. Congratulations to our teams for a fine season.
