Please take time to look at and discuss with your children their SSP goals. You will find their Student Success Plan under Parent Resources on the John Winthrop Middle School web site.
In the 8th grade we are continuing to work with members of Whelen Engineering. Please fill out the field trip form so your child may come with us on our visitation to Whelen's manufacturing facility in Chester.
During the week students will be making a flashing light that they will be able to bring home, so keep an eye out for it around the middle of the week if everything goes as planned. They will then assemble a Whelen product that may be used anywhere in the world.
7th grade students continue to work with our Computer Aided Design program. You should have seen at least 3 drawing that the students have printed out to go along with a worksheet that they would have had to complete before finishing the drawing called Base Plate. When you see it you could ask them to describe what they had to do to create the drawing.
