The first aid quiz represents the final opportunity for my health students to show how much they've learned. The A day students, having already had their review, will take their quiz Wednesday, June 11th. The B day students will review on Tuesday, June 10th and have their quiz Thursday June 12th. Come prepared for success!

Upcoming quiz!

The unit on growth, development, grooming and hygiene is rapidly coming to a close. After our review, A day students will have their quiz Monday, 5/19 while B day students will quiz Tuesday 5/20. Also, please remember if you want credit for doing the bonus homework questions, your work should be turned in before the quiz at the latest. Good luck!

Drug presentations start Thursday!

Our first set of group presentations will begin with our B Day students Thursday, April 3rd. It should take us about a week to get through each group. I encourage each of you to come in prepared. Read through your material, practice your script, know your pronunciations and get ready to speak to every set of ears in a calm, confident voice. You'll do great!

Smoking quiz! (1)

It's time to test our smoking knowledge! B Day students will have their quiz on Tuesday, March 18th and A Day students will be quizzed on Wednesday, March 19th. Start your preparations now for best results!

Smoking vocabulary

Every student has a packet of information detailing various facts about the dangers of smoking. The first page of that packet has a list of vocabulary words that need to be defined. B day students should have those words defined by Thursday 3/6 and A day students should have the vocabulary words defined by Friday, 3/7. The sooner students are familiar with this vocabulary, the better chance we have of truly understanding the consequences of this activity.

Nutrition quiz fast approaching!

Students will be taking their first health class shortly. B day students will have a nutrition quiz on Friday, February 28th and A day students will take their quiz on Monday, March 3rd. Now is the time to review your notes and make sure everything is complete and easy to understand. Please come to class with any questions or concerns you may have. Good luck!

First assignment of the new semester.

Students are tasked with bringing in a magazine advertisement selling a "fad diet"...a fad diet is any plan or pill that promises a dramatic change in your weight in a very short period of time. This diet should make you think it's too good to be true. Most likely because it is! B Day students should be prepared to share their ad on Wednesday 2/12 and A Day students should have their assignment Thursday 2/13.

Final quiz of the semester!

On Thursday 1/16 and Friday 1/17, we will spend class reviewing for our first aid quiz. Students are encouraged to go through their materials before class so any questions may be answered during our review. A day students will have their quiz Tuesday 1/21 and B day students will have their quiz Wednesday 1/22. Good luck!

Sorry for the confusion regarding this health quiz...A day students will be having their growth, development, grooming and hygiene quiz this Monday, 12/16 as originally scheduled. B day students will have their quiz on Friday, 12/13 as it has always been. Carry on!
